Custom Family Portraits

Personalized Family Portrait

If your family is anything like mine, family photos are a nightmare! The husband is pouting, probably complaining about an ulcer, your toddler is indignantly offended at being told what to do, and the baby is eating their sock. You look flawless, of course. . .aside from the light slowly fading from your eyes.

This year, skip the pain of fussing over coordinating outfits and pretending to be a normal, functioning family. Instead, get an illustrated portrait!

These whimsical portraits are guaranteed to be a cherished keepsake and can be utilized in so many different ways!

  • Wall art
  • Gifts (weddings, mother’s day, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, etc.)
  • Invitations (save the dates, baby showers, birthday parties, etc.)
  • Logos

FAQs

How do I request a portrait?

Fill out this form, then contact me on my Facebook Page.

How many people can be in my portrait?
A typical A4/8.5X11 picture can fit about 20 people before we have to start shrinking people down, but if you want to add more people, we can. *See pricing

How much does a portrait cost?

A family of 5 or less people/pets, including the first 3 hours of work is $30. Any additional time spent with revisions or extra people/pets is an additional $10/hour. A $20 deposit is required up-front and the remaining cost will be paid in-full before you will receive a link to your final image.

How diverse are your portrait characters?

Adult characters include 6 skin tones, 5 different hair colors, and 3 body shapes. Female characters include 18 different hairstyles (with some ethnic options). Male portraits include 10 different hairstyles (with facial hair and receding hairline options). Babies can be swaddled in mother’s arms or in an elegant english pram. NEW baby portraits available!

Ages available are Infants, 2-5, 6-8, 9-13, 14-18, adults, and grandparents.

Are there pet options available?

  • 45 Cats of various breeds and markings
  • 68 Dogs of various breeds and markings
  • 10 Horses with various markings

(Some customization is available.)

What are the common ways other people have used their portraits?
I have been asked to make personal home art pieces, save the date and wedding invitations, personalized logos, and baby shower and wedding gifts. One client asked for a lovely portrait to be done as a tribute to a lost loved one.

Are there pregnant woman options?

At this time, we do not have this option available, but we hope to include it very soon.

Who designed this program?

These beautiful characters were designed by Lisa Glanz and the program is available for Photoshop and Illustrator in her online store.

How do I print it?
After paying your online invoice, I will send you a link to a digital copy of your portrait. You can print this with any home photo printer (I use a Canon MP640, nothing too fancy), or send it in to your local photo printing service.

What kind of paper do you recommend?
If you are printing at home, I will always recommend checking what papers are compatible with your printer. Matte photo paper will give this portrait a more authentic, hand-drawn look.
